There are times when it is helpful to have someone who is professional, experienced and non-judgemental to talk to about things that are impacting on our mental health, wellbeing and ability to cope.
Counselling can help you with things like:
- Managing stress
- Improving emotional and mental health
- Increasing self-awareness and confidence
- Improving parenting skills
- Providing support if you are impacted by or have fled Domestic and Family Violence
- Managing life transitions (such as separation and divorce, loss and grief, work changes)
- Improving communication
Our counselling services are free and open to women and their families living in the Parramatta and Cumberland local government areas.
Our counsellor, Marcela, is experienced in working with women and their families and is passionate about supporting their healing and wellbeing. She has worked with women from diverse cultural backgrounds and understands the different challenges that they and their families often face.
Marcela uses an integrated approach in counselling, valuing mind, body and heart.
She will focus on supporting your strengths and choices.
Marcela will work with you to strengthen your relationship with yourself, your family and community.
You may choose to have counselling face-to-face, by telephone or via video call.
Marcela currently works on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
