Parenting Programs

Each term we run a parenting course for parents and carers, usually at our centre in Pendle Hill. We vary which course we are offering, based on demand and the needs that we see in our casework, group work and in the community.
We also partner with other services or local schools to deliver parenting programs requested by community groups. Please contact us if you would like to discuss the possibility of us running a parenting program for your school or community group.
Some of the parenting programs that we are able to run include:
- Circle of Security Parenting
- Tuning in to Kids/Tuning in to Teens
- Bringing Up Great Kids
- Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)
- The Incredible Years
Our parenting group in Term 4 2025 will be:
Circle of Security Parenting
An 8-session parenting program (especially ideal for parents of 0-5 year olds)
Circle of Security Parenting focuses on building secure relationships with children, and has implications for other close relationships in our lives. The program provides a roadmap for parents to look beyond their child’s behaviours and understand how to meet the underlying needs being expressed. Using a combination of video clips and small group discussions, this group assists caregivers to become more attuned to their children’s emotional needs and increases participants’ understanding of children’s behaviour. Learn more about how to identify your children’s needs and promote secure attachment in your children!
Participation in this group is free, and onsite childcare is available (also free!). However, places are limited, so registration is essential.
Dates: Thursdays 16 October – 11 December (but NO SESSION on 30 October)
Time: 10am — 12noon
Place: SAGE Community Services (37 Collins St, Pendle Hill)
FREE childcare available
